Gas Prices Don't Bother the Model A Club

Even though gas prices have been steadily climbing, the members
of the Up North Model A Club of Wisconsin and Upper
Michigan took to the highway last week.   This reporter
found 14 Model A's in a parking lot in Ironwood, Michigan and
found out that members of the Club are from towns such as Wausau,
Rhinelander, L'Anse, Watersmeet, Hayward, and Lac du
Flambeau.   When asked how they can afford to travel with
gas prices as high as they are, one gentleman spoke up and
said they all were extremely wealthy.   The wives immediately
said, "that's not true!"     The Up North Model A Club members
get together once a month during the summer months for a
trip...ranging anywhere from two days to a full week.
The central location of most members is Minoqua, Wisconsin.
Thes trip last week was to Ironwood to check out the museum,
the Black River Falls, and downtown Ironwood.
They were cordially invited to come to Ontonagon for the
annual Ontonagon Labor Day Festival.   Members said they
had driven up to Eagle Harbor a few year back but didn't
make any promises to attend.
