Saturday - Silver City
More than 100 people attended the O.C.A.P.
fundraising dinner held at the AmericInn in Silver
City. The proceeds of the event will go towards
finishing the
new animal shelter under construction in Ontonagon.
The turnout was very good and everyone had a good
time but each person attending focused on the dire
need for funding the animal rescue league. The
evening began with a 5:00PM social hour when
attendees could view the many items that had been
donated for the auctions. There were Bucket
Auctions, Live Auctions and a Gun Raffle.
Many
gifts were donated for the auction. Pictured below
is one of tables filled with donations
including the the autographed football donated by
the Green Bay Packers. Yes, the Lions also made a
donation.

The Dinner included Walleye,
Roast Beef and Chicken Alfredo, Roast Pork and of
course soup, salad and sinfully good deserts.
Everyone left the diner a few pounds heavier.
Lots of prize winners this
evening, but most of all the big winners were the
animals looking for homes that are currently housed
and cared for by the Ontonagon County Animal
Protection. If you were unable to attend this
fundraiser it's never too late make a difference!
