Hosts Gourmet Dinner and
Wine Tasting Event

On Wednesday, June 4th, Greg and Heidi Kaarto (owners of Parkview Lodge & Grill in Twin Lakes) served a gourmet dinner and wine tasting for 54 people. This is the third year for this event and it has grown each year. With reservations required the limited seating filled up fast. Chef Al Autio and his assistant for the evening, Chris Fontaine, served up a delicious five course meal.

Bill Peterlin of Peterlin Distributing was the Master of Ceremonies. He provided the white and red wines for the event. Bill stated that he is proud that Peterlin Distributing has been serving the Keweenaw and surrounding areas for 70 years.

The menu for the evening include Spring Tomato Bisque soup with Chateau Chantal Sparkling Chardonnay, Grilled Romaine Salad in Pastry with Vinaigrette Dressing and 3 Blind Moose Pinot Grigio, Rubbed Ahi Tuna with Peanut Glaze appetizer and Houghton Chardonnay Verdelho, entree choice of seafood stuffed Trout and Whitefish combination or braised Bison short ribs with wild mushrooms and potatoes, vegetables, and bread and Toasted Head Pinot Noir or Houghton Cabernet/Shiraz/Merlot and lastly milk chocolate strawberry shells for dessert with Wyandham Bin 444 Cabernet Sauvignon.
