Lake Superior Day 2009 |

| Story and photos by Linda Graham Sunday, July 19, 2009 The village of Ontonagon enjoyed "Lake
Superior Day". Crafters and food vendors set up at the north end of
town right on the banks of the Ontonagon River. The highlight for the
day was the Keweenaw Star from Houghton which offered 3 cruises during
the day, 10:00AM, 2:00PM and 5:00PM. The Ontonagon County Animal
Protection group provided food and several of the downtown businesses
were open Sunday also. Peninsula Graphics of Ontonagon brought some
kayaks to the river and offered a free trial. A beautiful 65 degrees,
sunny skies, and a slight breeze added to the enjoyment of the day. |
