Beets in Orange Sauce
(Punajuuret Appelsiinikastikkeess)

 

 
2 teaspoons cornstarch 1 tablespoon butter
2 cups cooked and sliced beets
2 cups orange juice
1 tablespoon brown sugar dash salt
teaspoon pepper

 

In a saucepan, combine all the ingredients except the beets. Bring t = boil, stirring constantly to keep the sauce smooth.

Add the beets (these be either freshly cooked or canned), and continue to cook over medic+ heat until they are heated through.

Serves 4.
