Wednesday evening the residents of Josephsons Nursing Home, along
with family members, friends, staff and neighbors, were treated to a
wonderful music concert, by "Marty's Goldenaires" The Josephsons'
residence were gathered on the front patio on the second summer
evening of the year. (above 40 degrees). Friends and neighbors all
gathered on the front lawn to enjoy what would be a warm evening of
"hot" music.
Pictured above future Goldenaire waits
tentatively for the Full sized Goldenaires to arrive.
And arrive
they did! The Drum and Bugle Corps was led this evening, by Dan Patrone,
the group's Music Director. The Goldenaires performed a number of
patriotic songs, including a medley of Armed Forces Anthems. The group
also played the "Beer Barrel Polka which had some seniors dancing on
the lawn.
Last evening was also the 100th birthday of Edith Raisanen, (pictured
above) a Josephsons' resident. Dan and the Goldenaires played "In the
Mood" honoring her birthday. The song of course is from Edith's great
era of music.
The residents along with all the rest of us were well entertained and
we were greatly appreciative of the terrific concert afforded by the
Goldenaires.
