Ironwood - August 15, 2009 Saturday, Roy and Doreen Ahonen, launch
what is called " The largest Indoor/Outdoor Fleamarket in the Northwoods"
The flea market boasts over 23,000 square feet of indoor space, in
addition to the large outdoor facility in the parking lot of the former
Pamida store. The Market will be open every Friday from 9:00 AM until 5:00

"beanie sports animals". Tyler is a student at GCC and is is student
assistant for the basketball team. |

O.K. here's something no one should miss seeing. Pictured above is
Erin Johnson, from Wakefield. She scans photographs into the computer,
which then produces a graphic template. Erin then cross-stitches the
picture onto the fabric and Walla, your favorite photo is now a beautiful
handcrafted cross-stitched art piece. |

Erin shows off one of her many crocheted afghans. Erin makes sure that
these beauties are large enough to cover her. The Afghans are soft, warm

above - Jim Baksic from Bessemiter. Jim makes hand-crafted wood
items. His work is absolutely terrific and is very affordable. You need to
visit Jim next week at the market and benefit from this great work. This
is a great opportunity to do some really serious Christmas shopping.

Jim uses all varieties of hardwoods in making his fine crafts. Jim
brings along a photo album displaying the many, many wonderful thing that
he creates. |

above - a wonderful craddle made from cherry wood. It was a beauty and
only cost $25. You need to get to Jim early in the morning. I visited him
at 10:00 am and his work was half sold out by then. Jim does all kinds of
custom wood work, for the home, garden and in the house. 667-0354. |

veggies from this vendor. |

above - John mans the food stand. The vendor works locally 6 days a
week. On the seventh day they bring the left over produce to the food
pantry. Due to changes recently initiated at the pantry, Gene and John are
working to bring produce to Community Action during the growing season. |
