Ontonagon - September 11, 2009

Monday was another beautiful day and this one was all about the children. The 21st annual Hank Thompson Kiddie Parade took place down main street of Ontonagon Monday afternoon.

The parade began at Syl's Restaurant and concluded at the Fire Hall, where prizes and games awaited the young marchers.

There were prizes for kid's walking, biking and pulling....first to sixth place.

First place in the bike division went to Anthony and Richard Olzewski, pictured above.
above - First prize in small pulling went to the kids with the "Scallywags of Superior" pirate ship.
First prize for large pulling went to the kids with "Whoville". Photo above.
At the end of the parade the prizes were awarded and then the candy toss was held.
