Finlandia Competes in U.P.
Cross Country Championship

The Lions of Finlandia were well represented at the U.P. Cross Country Chapionship meet last Friday. Five Finlandia Lionesses competed in the 5km womens event and two Finlandia Lions competed in the Men's 7.5 km event. The event was hosted by Northen Michigan University at their NMU Country Club. Pictured above Finlandia runners Allyson Holland and Liz Heller.

Michele Wood was Finlandia's first runner to cross the finish line with a time of 21:38.9. She was followed by teamates Erin Connor(23:32.8), Maggie Larson (23:44.7),Maghan Smith (23:44.7), Allyson Holland (28:55.0) and Liz Heller (28:58)

  Finlandia runners pictured above on left Maggie Larson, and on right Maghan Smith. Both Smith and Larson finished behind Wood with identical times of 23:44.7
 
  Finlandia had two men in Thursday's race.

pictured above - Daryl Brown. Daryl was the first of the Finlandia men to finish the 7.5 km. His time was 28:23.0. Daryl resides in Detroit Michigan
