Holiday Concert a Huge Success |

Ironwood - December 14, 2009 Ironwood residents recieved an early Christmas present yesterday afternoon, a holiday concert performed by the young and talented musicians from Luther L. Wright The audience was once again treated to the excellent performances that they have come to expect from young Ironwood musicians under the tutorage of Steve Boyd, area virtuoso and Music Director. The Christmas Concert consisted of three performances by the Middle School Band, The High School Band and the Wind Ensemble. Each group of talented musicians performed three holiday pieces. The concert began with the Middle School Band that palyed "We Three Kings", "Carol of the Bells", and "Santa's Classical Christmas". The High School Band followed their middle school counterparts and played "A Christmas Suite" , "Celtic Christmas", and "Patapan". The concert concluded with the performance by the Luther L. Wright Wind Ensemble. They also played three wonderful holiday songs, "Dona Nobis Pacem", "Coventry Carol", and holiday favorite, "Themes from the Nutcracker Suite" All of the excellent performances appear in the videos below. |
