Ironwood - December 20, 2009 The elementary school students from Ironwood Area School District performed their Christmas Concerts this week. There were two performances by the Sleight School students on Wednesday followed by two performances by the Norrie Students on Thursday. The afternoon shows were standing room only, as family and friends filled both venues to hear the children perform their annual Christmas pageantry. The Sleight school concert marked the return of Naomi Wegmeyer who is now teaching part time after retiring from the school district. As usual, Wegmeyer, had the little ones enthused and ready to entertain mom, pop and the grand folk. At Norrie Denise Schroeder directed the students in their Christmas show. The songs all emanated from a skit based on a "sleep over party". The performance was very well done and included volunteer singers from the eighth grade class. They too did a terrific job!
