Holiday Joy at Washington School

Regrettably the holiday school season came to a close Friday when the young musicians and singers of Washington School performed their Christmas concert. Once again friends and family packed the gymnasium to hear, see and enjoy the students perform their songs.

Under the musical directorship of L.J. Roderick the youngsters came on stage one class at a time. The concert began  with soloist performers. Second grader, Nick Trudgeon was first on stage with a piano solo "Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer"

Nick was followed by fifth grade student, Rachel Emery, who also performed a piano solo. Rachel played "Jolly Old St. Nicholas".

Another fifth grader, Lilly Wieringa played a violin solo. She performed "Perpetual Motion"

The soloist did a great job and set the bar for all who followed.

The audience was treated to 17 songs sung by the students of the Pre K through sixth grade.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to end. We at IronwoodInfo really enjoyed bringing all the school concerts to our readers. We look forward to spring so that we can do it all again.
