Benefit for Fire Victims
a Great Success

SILVER CITY - September 11, 2008

More than 175 people attended the benefit dinner for the victims of the Labor Day weekend fire in Ontonagon.  Paul's Restaurant at AmericInn, of Silver City Michigan hosted the fundraiser.

The benefit was organized by Steve Holden, Julie Chaska,  and the staff of Paul's AmericInn. One hundred per cent of the money raised will go directly to the victims of the fire.

The Menu will consisted of:  fried chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, bread pudding, soup and salad.
The dessert table had more than enough desserts to satisfy the most demanding sweet tooth.
In addition to the money raised through the dinner, auction and 50/50 raffle, many items of clothing and household goods were also donated to the fire victims.
 
The three water color paintings above were to be auctioned off later in the evening. The paintings  were donated to the fundraiser by artist Carl Mayer, Shadowlawn Studio, Marquette, MI
above - The buffet had the above sign which acknowledged the generosity of all businesses that sponsored the evening's event.
