It has been one year since Pamida
opened for business in Ontonagon and the store held an anniversary celebration event
this past Saturday.
In addition to store specials, there was music provided by the
Ontonagon High School Band. Ben Mayer, band director of the
Gladiators, was also on hand with the kids at the store's grand
opening.
The local Cub Scouts from Pack 209 were on hand doing a food
fundraiser.
Free Hot Dogs and drinks were offered at the entry by the White
Pine United Methodist Men's Prayer Breakfast Group.
Highlighting the event was a small Car Show presented by Linda
Graham of Ontonagon. Linda is one of the organizers of the fantastic
Laborfest Car Show held on the Labor Day weekend.
