Sunday Fundraiser at Covington |

| Covington - May 26, 2009 On Sunday, May 24th, a
dance/fundraiser was held at the Covington Multipurpose Building on
M-28 from 1:00 to 5:00pm. The attendees enjoyed and danced to the
music of Wil Kilpela, Tanja Stanaway, Les Ross Sr, Oren Tikkanen,
and Hjalmer Torres. |

| Food and refreshments were also available. Proceeds from this dance will benefit the eleventh annual Finnish Music Festival in Covington, which will be held on June 27, 2009, and will commemorate the life of the late U.P. folk music legend Johnny Perona. |

| Other activities going on this summer in Covington include the Annual Finnish Music Festival on Saturday, June 27th, Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 3rd from 11AM to dusk; and Summer Concerts held on Tuesday evenings: July 14, July 21, July 28, August 4, August 11, and August 18, 2009. |
