Following an early morning Memorial
Service at the Ironwood Memorial Building. Participants of the
service were joined by other members of the community in a parade
that would terminate at Riverside Cemetery.
Parade viewers came by bike (above) and others came by bike
(below). The number of parade watchers was small, but the numbers
were greatly augmented later at the cemetery.
People arrived late to the parade route but still had to wait for
the marchers to reach Ayer and Suffolk.
As usual, Ironwood's finest were at the front of the parade,
imediately followed by the color guard.
Also on hand and providing their own color guard was the Ironwood
High School, J.R.O.T.C.
Once again the the Luther L. Wright Band under the leadership of
Band Director, Steve Boyd, provided the music for the parade. As
usual the band did a great job.
