An Evening of
Art and Music

The Bessemer Area School’s Evening
of Art and Music began with an extensive art exhibit by the
district’s students. Works by students from Kindergarten through
twelfth grade were showcased at the event. |

The Art
Exhibit was done under the guidance of Art Instructor, Jennifer
Werner. Werner has a great deal to be proud of as do her
students. A great deal of the art displayed was incredibly good.
I asked Mrs. Werner how she manages to develop so many excellent
artists in her classes. She responded that the students were
talented. It may be so, however, the kids obviously have a very
talented artist for a teacher. |

It is also obvious that
the teachers at Washington School do a great job developing the
creativity and talent of their younger students.
The
combining of the Art exhibit with the evening’s band concert
certainly went along way for the cultural enrichment of the
audience.
