After the mines closed, the cabins were stripped bare. When
restoration of the Village began, the stove was returned to its
original spot from whence it came. |

Lynette Webber, pictured above, is one of several volunteers
that provide tours of the village. During the summer months the
village is open seven days a week. Lynette told us that there as
many as fifty visitors a day that tour the residences and
