ONTONAGON - The Ontonagon Gladiators took on
the Ewen Panthers in Ontonagon Friday night. The Panthers team
was mostly freshmen who gave this game all they had.....but were
defeated 70 to 6. It was a beautiful evening to enjoy a football
game...a balmy temperature and no wind to speak of....perfect.
Sonco ambulance was standing by but there was
only one minor injury during the game.
The Ontonagon team was lacking cheerleaders but Ewen's
cheerleaders put on a good show. The one touchdown by the
Panthers was cheered by both Ewen and Ontonagon fans. Ontonagon
will be travelling to Ironwood next Friday evening.
