| Hancock, MI. (February 1, 2011) – The Finlandia
University Athletic Department would like to announce
the upcoming dates for their annual Fan Appreciation
Nights. Finlandia Athletics has designated four nights
of contests and giveaways to honor the supporters of
Lions sports programs. Finlandia encourages fans to
invite family and friends to attend any of these events
for a chance to win great prizes courtesy of our local
businesses. If you have any questions concerning these

contests are listed below.
Men’s Hockey- Friday, February 4 @ 7:30PM vs. Marian
(Houghton County Arena)
· CHUCK-A-PUCK CONTEST “a chance to win a stick &
jersey autographed by the Men’s
· Hockey team & a gift certificate courtesy of the
Irish Times”
o Purchase a puck for $2 and then during the first
intermission “chuck your puck” onto the ice! The 3
closest to the center circle on the ice will win some
exciting prizes!
o Proceeds donated to the Copper Country Humane
Society of Houghton
Women’s Hockey- Saturday, February 5 @ 7PM vs. Marian
(Houghton County Arena)
· TEAM SLED RACE CONTEST sponsored by The Waterfront
Restaurant of the Ramada Inn
o We need 2 teams of 2 to compete in this exciting
sled race where at each blue line you’ll have to put on
a jersey and gloves to make it to the finish line on the
ice!
· 2 DRAWINGS “a chance to win 1 large, 3 topping mix
pizza courtesy of Studio Pizza & a gift certificate
courtesy of Kaleva Café”
o All you have to do is sign up for the drawing at
the entrance to the game!

o The best dressed in “blue and white” will win a
