O'Brien, led the NCHA in conference goals- against
average (1.60), save percentage (.931) and wins (14)
during the regular season. His overall record was 17-2-1
with three shutouts in 1,173 minutes.
On the national level, O'Brien's numbers ranked among
the best. His overall goals-against average of 1.59 was
tops in the nation through games of Feb. 16; his .932
save percentage and .875 winning percentage ranked fifth
and third, respectively. O'Brien also was an all-NCHA
pick last season.
Forwards Brandon Longley and Johan Ryd and defensemen
Mike Bernardy and Nick Tabisz also made the all-NCHA
team for St. Norbert, which won the league's
regular-season title and is the top seed for the
playoffs.
It is the fourth time Tabisz has been selected to the
all-league team. Bernardy also was picked last year, and
Longley and Ryd are first-time selections.
Green Knights senior forward Scott Pulak, a native of
Green Bay, is an honorable mention selection. Forward
Joe Perry and defenseman Reid Campbell are on the
all-rookie team.
