Hancock, MI. – March 10, 2011: Six members of the
Finlandia University Men’s Hockey team were honored by
the Midwest Collegiate Hockey Association for their
academic excellence.
Seniors Ryan Donovan (Pinckney, MI.), and Matt Wylie
(Eagan, MN.), were joined by Juniors Charlie Benik
(Andover, MN.), James Brey (Hancock, MI.), and Nemenja
Jankovic (Belgrade, Serbia).
Rounding out the Finlandia selections is Sophomore
Reece Anderson (Hancock, MI.). Donovan and Wylie are
three-time honorees while Benik, Brey, and Jankovic were
all selected for a second time.
All of the MCHA academic award winners are required
to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and sophomore
status to be considered for selection to the
