B.A.S. Junior High School Band under the direction of Music Director, Mary Jo Mykkanen
The Junior High School band performed the following songs: "That's Entertainment" by Arthur Schwartz, "Crystal City Overture" by John Edmondson and "Echoes of the Civil War" by Mark Williams
	Brianna Mykkanen, High School Clarinet Soloist, performed "Variations for Clarinet & Piano" by Gioacchino Brianna placed first in the 2009 solo/ensamble competion. She did a great joband is likely to continue the family's tradition of talented musicians. Brianna's mother is Mary Jo Mykkanen, Music Director for the Bessemer Area Schools. Her Dad is Dan Mykkanen, Music Director at the Hurley School.
Following Brianna's terrific solo, the band went on to play: "Viva La Vida" Arranged by Tim Waters and "Bugler's Holiday" by Leroy Anderson.
