Ironwood - August 30, 2009 It was
Thursday night at the drive for all those
who came out to support the Klassic
Kruisers fundraiser. Last Thursday evening
a drive movie was presented by the Klassic
Kruisers at Sunnyside Plaza. A Klassic
Komedy "The Long Long Trailer was shown on
a screen in the rear of Northwestern
Electronics, who provide the space and
facilities for this terrific event. The
Lucy and Desi movie was a natural for this
showing. It also left many of us scrathing
our heads as to the probability of that
'54 Mercury hauling the 40 foot New Moon
Trailer up and down the Rockies. Hmmm. Was
it Hollywood?
There was refreshments and drawings for
prizes. There was voting for your
favorite classic car at the event. |
|
The fundraiser was part of the Klassic Kruisers Car Club food drive to benefit the St. Vincent DePaul Food
Pantry. The Kruisers collecting donations of non-perishable food items and/or cash that
will be given to the Food Pantry. In exchange for each donation, the
donor’s name was entered into a drawing for the grand prize of a
variety of gift certificates from local restaurants.
